There was a reason she was here, but Dorty had forgotten it. For now, though, she amused herself in flight. Everything was so new, unlike the labs. The labs were safe, they were clean and familiar and everyone was really nice. The doctors always had interesting games for her, "Try to break this" or "Can you go this fast?" or "Stretch your arms as high as you can, you can do it." Out here, those games were by her choice, though she never got a cookie at the end.
Dorty missed cookies.
As she wheeled through the air, she slid her feet against a window with a loud squeak. The noise made her wince as she kicked off the glass cracking as beat her wings, regaining her lost speed and changing direction. The doctor told her she can't go back to the labs anymore, now she has to live free. Whatever live free means, though, eluded Dorty. She beat her wings, gaining altitude without sacrificing speed and seeking to further explore the world. Apparently it was called "Isafaro", and Dorty had to be careful in it, who knows what's out there?

Tori was patrolling the streets of the Western District when she saw what appeared to be a giant bat flying through the air. She didn't know if bats got that big and found it suspicious. Taking out a pair of binoculars she got from Wade and Jade she used them to get a closer look at the creature, and it seemed to be wearing clothes and even had humanoid like features despite being a giant bat. What the hell was it? Tori took out her radio and called it in:
"Wade, there seems to be some kind of mutation in the sky. I'm going to take a closer look."
Tori followed the giant bat from below, but kept her gun strapped to her back for now. Not wanting to provoke it if she could help it. Tori waved her arms and tried to get its attention to see if it was a threat.
Though it probably wasn't a good idea.

Walking along to a beat only he could hear, Riley found himself among the usual hustle and bustle of the Western District. The sun was shining, which meant that usual transit of bodies would only show face once the moon replaced the warms rays. Riley’s Place was empty. Hence, it was a good time to stretch the ol’ legs. There was always something interesting happening in Isafaro if you looked hard enough. And sometimes, as luck would have it, there was no need to look.
A squeak rang out from the skyscrapers up in the sky. Although it was almost drowned out by the noise of the city, the sound had been out of the ordinary and loud enough to differentiate. It caught Riley’s attention immediately.
“Well, I’ll be,” he continued his pace, marveling up at the creature that soared through the sky. He came to a stop next to a redhead –an officer on patrol-- who seemed busy looking through her binoculars. She mentioned some Wade person: probably whoever she reported to.
“Didn’t know migration season came so early!” he exclaimed loudly and with a slight laugh as if to catch her attention. “Animals these days: just won’t stop growin’, huh? Good thing I know a thing or two about wildlife – might help ya out, ya know.”
Riley side-eyed her for a second, giving her large smile that was more pointed at the giant creature in the sky than at the young woman next to him. A simple suggestion could go a long way, he knew, even if he wasn’t very reverent to Isafaro’s law.

Unaware she was being observed, Dorty tucked in her wings. Within a second, she fell into a steep dive, picking up more and more speed as she plummets towards the streets below. The wind whistling around her was incredible as Dorty tucked her ears as well, enjoying the mounting gs as she drew so close she could read the licence plates on the cars.
All good things must come to an end, though. Dorty spread her wings wide, angling them just enough to level out before giving them a single, powerful beat. She tilted her wings again, pumping them a few more times as she began to climb, now ten feet above the road and causing panic among the drivers as she rode the momentum of her dive, screaming like a child on a roller coaster and cackling with wild abandon as she flew.
