Physical Appearance: Dorty stands at five feet tall, five foot ten if you account for her ears. She is covered with deep brown fur and has grey skin, with a pinkish nose and a long snout resembling a bat. Though, between the large, pointed ears, massive, leathery wings, and light, lithe body, Dorty could easily pass for some form of giant bat. She has two massive eyes with yellow irises and no visible sclera, but three smaller, lesser eyes around each of her 'primary' ones, for a total of eight. Dorty's wings extent from two modified shoulder blades, but she has two 'arms' below these, both made of insect-like, segmented chitin and ending in clawed appendages. She has a long rat's tail and her feet are prehensile and end in talons, meant to grip onto any surface. Despite her horrific appearance, Dorty seems to always be smiling and has a very upbeat and chipper personality.
Special Abilities:
Enhanced Senses: Dorty's 'primary' eyes are meant to quickly adapt to changing light levels, while her 'secondary' eyes give her greatly enhanced peripheral vision despite their simplistic nature. Her large ears are able to turn and angle themselves, and her highly developed inner ears give her incredible spacial awareness and immunity to motion sickness, but leave her vulnerable to certain high frequencies.
Flight: Those wings ain't for looks. Dorty is capable of self propelled flight. Her body is lightweight and her wings and legs are quite strong, allowing her to take off from a short run even a standing position. That light-weight build of her makes her highly susceptible to blunt force trauma, however, and she cannot gain flight if she doesn't have enough room to spread her wings. When airborne, Dorty is fairly quick but highly maneuverable, able to brake, bank, and make incredibly sharp turns with near-perfect precision thanks to her enhanced senses.
Regenerative Tissue: While not a full blown "everyone-has-one" healing factor, Dorty has means to recover from certain obstacles that might have arose in her intended line of work. Her wing tissue is capable of rapidly restoring itself if damaged, and her blood contains special enzymes designed to cause fast coagulation if she experiences any harm. This can save Dorty's life in many situations, but she could still be incapacitated for prolonged periods if she is sufficiently injured.
Telescopic Arms: Dorty's chitinous arms contain a unique feature, able to extend to a range of fifteen meters from her body in a few seconds. These limbs can retract just as rapidly, with there being no change to their physical strength or durability at any length. Needless to say, a blow from an arm extending dozens of meters a second could be fatal for many humans, and has been recorded in test data as being capable of pulverizing a military truck's engine block to scrap metal.

Her feet end in a number of sharp, dense talons, and her legs have powerful, highly developed muscles in them. She can easily penetrate solid concrete and tests have shown her as being capable of piercing up to 25 mm of steel. Dorty's arms, however, can withstand sustained small arms fire and both end in clawed appendages capable of functioning as claws.

Biological Weapon Prototype 019-D, codename "Dorty", was created in the Isafaro Institute of Scientific Progression's genetics division. She was among numerous attempts at developing a biological weapon for mass production within Isafaro's military. Designed with aerial reconnaissance and support within dense urban areas, Dorty was trained and studied since her creation. However, the relatively lax nature of the staff working on site lead to Dorty developing a playful, somewhat naive personality. Dorty was meeting expectations for the project, keeping pace with her peers, but her situation changed drastically during an investigation by a government inspector. The project was considered over-budget and, while meeting guidelines initially set by the project heads and their superiors within the Isafaro ruling cabinet, a reshuffling of staff, equipment and funding resulted in the research and development of biological weapons for the Isafaro government was put on indefinite hiatus. During the disassembly of the bio-weapons lab, a logistical error resulted in the accidental release of all specimen instead of their destruction. Dorty found herself released weeks before her destruction, and it was believed it would be another month at least before the bureaucracy discovered the mistake and scramble to catch the escaped organisms...[/a]
